Powerpoint Sparked when switched on

If there are more than one powerpoint not working it is most likely a tripped breaker or blown fuse . You can find more information on resetting your circuit here

If its a fridge powerpoint it is usually a switch that has been turned off normally located the kitchen cupboard ( often on the third shelf) or the switches may be above the bench.

If its a Dishwasher or microwave powerpoint – it could also be a switch on the bench that has been turned off

 It is normal for the switch to spark if the item plugged in is switch on - Normally noticable in a darker environment with high power appliances such as Jugs or heaters

If you have any Rcd outlets with a test and reset button

Try pressing the reset button on any rcd powerpoints and it may restore power to your powerpoint that is not going
