Tip - If one or more of your elements are not going - normally this is a failed plate - but sometimes it may just  the knobs- you can check them  by pulling them off ( if they are hard to get off they are likely not damged )

 

You can get new knobs from your local electrical wholesaler - be sure to take the broken knob with as to get one that matches what you have
