RCD tripping

An RCD doesnt trip if there is too much load rather it  trips if there is any connection between live and neutral or live and earth usually caused by a fault condition.

An RCD can be tripped by

- an appliance or electrical unit that is wet

- a faulty appliance

- a faulty bulb

- a circuit issue

If you have an RCD tripping the first thing to do is unplug all appliances that have been turned off by the RCD be sure to unplug the dishwasher and fridge if they are have no power.( It's important to unplug them and not just turn off the switch )

After you have unplugged all the affected appliances try turning on the RCD you need to turn it on slowly and gradually.

If it stays on it indicates that one of the appliances you unplugged is faulty.

If it still trips you will need to book online below.

Now plug the appliances back in one but one if an appliance trips the RCD and it's not wet - the appliance is faulty. You can either call an appliance service technician ( I don't fix plug in appliances sorry ) or invest in a new appliance.)
